ujwal
I use a Minolta X370s (and I love it; gives great pics with the 28- 70). I'd like to use flash fills for portraits , flowers and people. The X370 has no TTL flash ;so how do i use any ordinary Auto Flash for this purpose. Any rule of thumb or a general guideline for the purpose would help a lot.thank you
Ken Katz
If you set the flash so that it underexposes by about 1 stop, that usually works fine (I have done it with a Vivitar 283). Manual exposure is probably preferred since you really need to keep your shutter speed at or below max sync speed, and need to keep your aperture constent once you set flash. For a 283, set at the flash on the colored zone which cooresponds to about 1 stop wider than the aperture set on the lens, so that the fill flash exposure is about 1 stop less than a full flash exposure. daniel_cardenas
I'm trying to find a work around to another of Photo.net's many user interface bugs - I'd clicked on the dreaded "Notify me of new responses" link up top and now I'm creating a new response to see if I get an email that will hopefully contain a link allowing me to "un-subscribe" from notifications, as I can't seem to do that from "My workplace" Please, wish me luck.
