akocurek
I haven't done that myself, although I keep thinking about it.
I'm sure others will respond, but you can look at this site: https://www.lifepixel.com/
I'm sure there are others that do the conversion also.
Laura Weishaupt
We had a camera converted at MaxMax a few years ago and have been happy with it. I looked at their new web site and found it difficult to tell how much they are charging now. Lifepixel has been a major player in this game and will probably serve you well. If I had to do it again, I'd go with Lifepixel.
jorge_garcia1
You can do it yourself, there were info on the web some years ago you can follow
Worst part was de-soldering and later soldering
You need good small screwdrivers
If you take away Canon filter then you have UV and IR camera but need special filter for normal light
MickSimpson
Hi everyone.
Adrian & Laura - thanks for the referrals.
Jorge, I am a handy guy but not that brave when it comes to the do it yourself modifications to my DSLR. I'd probably end up with those "extra parts" after reassembly and the bewilderment of what I may have created (destroyed)
Mick
MickSimpson
Lifepixel is a $275.00 conversion for my 40D, $600.00 if you want ultra violet
