kivis
Made in '63, bought used in '74, Major prism dent in '82, new Griptac covering in 2005, CLA and shutter mod in 2008.

Thinking of living with only my F for a year with the help of my 3 Nikon lenses: 28/2, 50/1.4, and 105/2.5. Am I crazy? Oh and a whole bunch of Tri-X.

kivis Cameras, lenses, and fotos
john_shriver
Not crazy at all. Beautiful camera with the plain prism. (Ugly as sin with the Photomic.)
rick_drawbridge
Great project, Akiva, it's the sort of disciplined approach that produces great images. Go for it, and share some of your results with the Forum.
JDMvW
Tri-X is good (especially given that it's one of the few survivors from the day) for "re-enactment".

However, if you are not what the historical re-enactors call a "stitch-counter," you might consider the creamy B&W images of Ilford's XP-2.
In any case, have fun. I personally enjoy shooting the old classics, but I was there the first time around so see no particular personal virtue in going back. ;)

andrew_brown7
Well, I like the Photomic heads....in fact I prefer them to the plain head. There, I said it. In for a penny as for a Pound, I have 4 altogether, all with Photomic heads!
