juan_rinito
Is the sphericalchromatic the same thing that Longitudinal chromatic aberration? Thanks
SCL
<p>No they aren't quite the same, although under certain circumstances the aberration patterns in cross section may look similar. Rather than trying to explain the nuances, if you do a Google search on each term you can get very full explanations of each. Simply one has to do with light rays being focused at different points as a function of where light enters the spherical surface and the refractive index of the glass, whereas the other is a function of different wavelengths of light focusing at different points. The math is pretty complex, so be prepared.</p>
