PatB
Dear Dp2m users, Given the short battery life of these cameras has anyone used a powerbank to charge them on the go using a usb charger? I am not looking to power the camera using the power bank but only recharge a depleted battery, say, in my backpack while I am using the other and shooting all day with no access to mains power? An there any manufacturers or products you would recommend?
Ed_Ingold
If the camera or battery charger works through an USB connection, you will be able to use a portable USB power source. There are many brands available, but I suggest getting the largest capacity you can find.

I have several Anker brand units with 20,000 mAH capacity and two 2A ports, purchased through Amazon. Besides phones and an iPad, I use them to power other devices when I'm on the go, including a Sony A7Rii and a GoPro camera.
phule
Can't comment on whether or not this would work specifically for the Sigma cameras, but if you do buy one I'd like to second the recommendation of the Anker brand. We've been extremely happy with the quality of Anker external batteries we've been using for cell phone and tablet re-charging.
PatB
Thanks for the reassurance and suggestions. I think I will grab a power bank and a USB charger. Ending up with 4 batteries charged at home and then recharged from the bank on the go if necessary.
Jochen_S
I'm not familiar with power banks. - I assume you'll need 2.8Ah nominal capacity per full camera battery charge. <-pessimistic guesswork, based on 150% input and just 75% real bank capacity.
Good luck!
PatB
Thanks Jochen. I am looking at 20000mAh, 4.8A Output unit so I am hoping it will suffice.
