Calibrating 4K UHDTV with NEC Puck

<p>I have a NEC Spectraview II that works with my monitor. Is there a way to hook up the puck so I can measure and adjust color and lighting on my new Sony UHDTV 4K HDR television?</p>

<p>Unless something has changed recently, most likely not. The downside of the NEC branded pucks is that they are usually locked to just working with NEC monitors even though they are Xrite hardware inside.</p>

<p>As Doug points out, probably not going to work. If you have a non NEC branded unit, that could work. </p>

<p>it's really a function of the software you're using. The Argyll suite is able to override that NEC limitation since they wrote their own driver (or at least dont seem to use the XRite SDK)</p>

<p>NEC responded positively:</p>

<p><em>You can open SpectraView go to Tools > Colorimeter Window. It will then open a measurement window. You can then take the sensor and place it on the 2nd screen and take measurements that will appear in the Colorimeter Window.
