peter_j2
I purchased a used Profoto Acute2R 2400 from a camera store which did not come with the power cable. I have 14 days to return it. An OEM replacement cable is $53 US. As an alternative, a computer monitor or PC power cable with a female NEMA plug would fit. Is the 16.4' OEM cable a CSA TYPE LL81924 SVT SHIELDED 60º C 18AWGX3C FT2 444027? I have limited electrical knowledge and don't want to fry the generator or start a fire with a wrong generic cable from an electrical supplier.
ellis_vener_photography
You are asking about the AC (mains to pack) cable? Any standard AC power cord will work.
peter_j2
Yes, the cable will provide electrical feed from the generator to the head. I can use my PC cable and then plug that into an extension cord to wall outlet. Thank you for your help, Ellis.
peter_j2
To update, the new replacement power cable from Profoto is 16 AWG. I found the 18 AWG desktop PC cable feeling warm after firing a dozen shots at 2400 Ws indicating a potential overheating of the cable which could be a safety issue.
