Mike Gammill
<p>Time again for our weekend thread. As it is already Friday, Nov. 13 in some time zones let's begin. I have some more shots from my Spotmatic F with the 105mm f2.8 Takumar. Among them a wide open image and one with a Vivitar 283 flash that was recently given to me. As always you're invited to post that "fourth" image in the 365 day thread.</p><div></div>
Mike Gammill
<p>I've always liked telephoto lenses in the 85 to 105 range for medium distance candids. And indoors the f2.8 aperture helps tremendously.</p><div></div>
Mike Gammill
<p>And the 105 works great with flash as well. I think the lens was at f11. The 283 has four automatic settings so it's easy to find a setting that allows the desired aperture. Also on Tri-X, btw.</p><div></div>
tony_lockerbie
<p>The 105mm Takumar is a bit of a sleeper Mike, tack sharp, or should that be Tak. sharp? :) Looks good in low light too.<br> A couple from the Duo 620....nothing too exciting, but my first try out.</p><div></div>

Argenticien
<p>Mike, the mobile phone panels atop your water tower look like a crown on the head of a princess! Hilarious. As stated in Monty Python's Eric the Half-a-Bee sketch, "I never seen so many bleedin' aerials!"<br> <br />I hope to post some images this weekend if I can get the scanning done...<br> <em>--Dave</em></p>
Wouter Willemse
<p>For quite some time, I've been looking at getting a rangefinder, but the prices always held me off. And then skipping through the auction site, I figured I never gave Russian cameras a lot of thought. So, now I got a Kiev-4a with a Jupiter-8M, and finally got to scanning the first roll (my usual expired Kodak ColorPlus). The frame spacing is completely off, but otherwise it appears to be working fine. Coming weekend and week, I'll be going through the collection of potential fixes I found here (and on some other sites), and see if I can get it in somewhat better working order.</p><div></div>

donald_miller5
I am in Miami because my wife is presenting at holocaust conference so do not have pictures per se. However roght I've our bed is a huge photo of a Kiev 4. The manufacturer is brushed but I made sure it is not a contax. Why put up a large photo of a Kiev sitting I. The sand? Also, speaking of the 105 mm lens. I have a Jupiter with a m39 mount which we all know just will not mate with an I 39 thread. I have lots of units with I39 thread and M41. Heard it is a great lens. I have asked before and I am asking again. I came up with some Rube Goldberg ideas but nothing that wouldn't embarass me. Does anybody know of s commercial or elegant solution. I have been told there are adapters out there but I couldn't find one<div></div>

rick_drawbridge
<p>Well, it rained yesterday and the day before, and there's rain forecast for tomorrow and the day after... I seized the day this morning, and shot a roll of FP4 through a Nikon FE using the rather good 24mm Tamron Adaptall 2 f/2.5 lens, in somewhat variable light. Developer was PMK Pyro, scans from an Epson V700.</p><div></div>
