jeremy_wakefield
Hi

I have two Plus II units and a Flex TT Canon. All are European models working in the European Frequency. I will be going over to the US in a week or two and wonder if I can use these models there.

Thanks for helping
ellis_vener_photography
As long as you don't mix them with USA frequency models you should be fine. Just don't tell the Federal Communication Commission and you shouldn't have or cause any non-photographic issues either :-)
rodeo_joe1
+1 to what Ellis said. Try and hide them from customs, since they won't have FCC approval. Doesn't seem to stop the Chinese from exporting non-approved stuff though. Non-approved in any way, shape or form!
jeremy_wakefield
Thanks for the advice Ellis and Joe.
Seriously, is there a likelihood of the FCC coming down on me for bringing them?i
I don't want to get my gear confiscated or spend hours in customs or something?
Maybe it's an odd question but it's my first trip to the US and I don't really know what the situation is re the FCC
rodeo_joe1
The FCC itself will never find out about your "foreign" triggers (unless you cause interference to a public radio/tv service or military waveband - that's highly unlikely given the pitiful output power of PW triggers). The FCC have no border patrol or widespread inspection personnel. I doubt that US customs and immigration will be bothered either. They have better things to do.

Having said that, the X-ray hand-luggage scanning person might question you about the devices since they'll be an uncommon item to show up on a scan. I'd stow them in my hold luggage to circumvent that.

It's much more likely that your PW triggers will get interference from other services on the same band than vice-versa.
