andreart
hi. I dont understand those new "photographers", who stole other photographers works and put their name and copyright under other works. it theres some way to punish them ? because if you write to that kind of thief, they just delete your works and continue to live with other stolen photos which are not detected as stolen.
maybe there is some web site where you can put photographers name and mark your stolen photos, that everybody who will search for this thief photographer in google will find that he is thief.
here is example
https://www.facebook.com/waldeircolaresfotografia/photos_stream
there are 4 my wedding photos:
http://www.upload.ee/image/4634722/Screen_Shot_2015-04-12_at_10.09.06_PM.png
http://www.upload.ee/image/4634723/Screen_Shot_2015-04-12_at_10.09.40_PM.png
http://www.upload.ee/image/4634725/Screen_Shot_2015-04-12_at_10.09.53_PM.png
http://www.upload.ee/image/4634727/Screen_Shot_2015-04-12_at_10.10.53_PM.png
these 4 photos are my works, but he put his web site on photo and in comment write that he is autor of this photos. wtf ?
how to punish these kind of thief (Waldeir Colares) ?

my works : http://andreweddingphoto.com/
http://fotoblog.andreart.lv/?928
http://fotoblog.andreart.lv/?752
http://fotoblog.andreart.lv/?868
and this is not a first time I found thief "photographers" liek this :(

bobatkins
As for "punishment". if you have registered the copyright on the images you may be able to file a lawsuit for infringement of copyright and be awarded punitive damages (and legal costs), but it can be a slow, involved and initially expensive process.

Doug Obert
I am not on facebook anymore so I can't be certain how current my info is for you. But there is/was a group on facebook called photo stealers (or something close to that name) that went after photographers such as the one you're faced with. Pretty much made life unbearable for them!
