doug_brown5
I am new to TTL flash. I wish to know if the same method for bracketing I use for standard auto flash [mode A] onmy SB-28 will work in the TTL mode. In AUTO, I set the iso, apeture, and mode [A] on the flash. I set the same iso and aperture on the camera [FM3a].To bracket, i simply adjust the apeture 1 stop +/-. Will the same method work with TTL, or must I use a different method like the exposure compensation dial? Thanks
lornesunley
TTL does a calculation on the light being reflected from the film in the camera. You need to have/use a flash exposure compensation setting.
ellis_vener_photography
most of the Nikon's that I know about have a Ttl flash bracketing function built-in. I've never used it but I know it's there.
fred_strobel1
No, It will not work with TTL. When you change the aperture, TTL will compensate for it putting out more or less flash. You need to use the built-in flash bracketing if your camera has it. You can do that method for manual flash however.
