steve_johnston4
I am thinking of updating to Windows 10, my laptop with Windows 8 with desktop 7 and a desktop with straight Windows 7. I use PSE 11+plug-ins to edit raw from a Nikon D800E. I print with Epson 3800 and Artisan 810. Should I expect any trouble with compatibility? Thanks.
peterbcarter
I upgraded two machines on day 1. No real problems. I did get a new driver for my v700 scanner, even though it seemed to work ok.

You should be ok. Just backup before you upgrade.
Wouter Willemse
PS Elements should be no issue; I upgraded from win8.1 with an older version PS Elements installed; it still works perfectly fine. Printer drivers so far do not seem to cause massive issues either, so that ought to go well.
thirteenthumbs
Upgrades from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 have a 30 day option to return to the previous version with no loss of information, files, or settings.
peterbcarter
But make a backup anyway. Murphy is always around the corner.
q.g._de_bakker
Better than a file backup is a clone of the disk with your running system on a separate disk. With that, all you have to do should things not be the way you like all you have to do is swap disks and you're back using the old system again.
Another option would be to wait a while, see what problems are reported, and when solutions will be issued.
