Vivitar L.A. Brites 110 film camera

Recommended Posts

Hi! I recently bought a Vivitar L.A. Brites camera from a Goodwill, and was just wondering if anyone knew specifically when they were produced or what year mine could be from? I looked it up and it said that Vivitar made the 110 cameras anywhere from the 70s-90s. But I couldn't find any specific information about the L.A. Brites. Any information is appreciated! Thanks so much!

Well, a quick Google search wasn't much help with pricing, although I did see one ad for a "factory sealed" camera for $50US. It could be that a camera in mint condition is actually worth more today as a collectible than it was originally.

You may want to go to the source: Contact Vivitar corporate at http://www.vivitar.com/p/corporate. The web page also show some phone numbers that may be helpful.

Good luck!

Vivitar never made much high-end gear as far as 110 cameras went. Likely it was made for Vivitar by another company. Collectors value is likely a lot more than its original cost.
Vivitar, did, however, market some nice lenses (notably the Series 1 line) and some high quality electronic flash units (283, etc.)
