wgpinc
FWIW Ken Rock got one of these 5DS cameras and he's been writing opinion pieces about it.
http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/5ds.htm#sampleimages
I'm quite content with my 6D and see no need personally for any more MP. Horses for courses. Good luck!
Andrew Garrard
Well, I've had moiré once from a D800e, where there was a railing at just the right distance, if that counts as architecture. It took me nearly a minute to fix it in Adobe camera raw, most of which was finding the tool. Otherwise, having used a D800e almost since launch and a D810 since February, and mostly shooting at apertures chosen for sharpness... I've almost never seen a problem. I'm sure the same is true of the 5DsR. Don't be scared of losing the low pass filter, unless perhaps you're a wedding pro and don't have time to check all your shots. Nikon's consumer bodies don't have low pass filters any more either - that's how much of a problem it isn't.
dcstep
Naturally recurring patterns will typically not be a problem because they do NOT perfectly replicate; however, architecture will occasionally contain such exactly repeating patterns, which will require correction. Fabrics in fashion photography can be problematic.

DxO Optics Pro automatically corrects for moire with the Nikon e- series and it'll be only a short time before they have the module for the 5Dsr. Certainly, Canon's Digital Photo Professional will have a correction module.
ed_avis2
It would be interesting to compare the 5Ds, processed with some sharpening to compensate for the low-pass filter, and the 5Ds R, processed to correct moiré. Which of the two is easier to fix?
