I went to Hot Springs, AR this past weekend to be in a wedding. One of the planned activities before the big day was a trip to Oaklawn, a horse racing venue. Had I known ahead of time, I'd have brought a longer lens than my 28-105.
I actually had money on the #2 horse to show. He came in second and won me a whopping $5. :-)

Shun, lovely photo of the hummingbird. So here's my bird photography this week. In London's Hyde Park last weekend, feeding the squirrels from my left hand whilst trying to get a photo of them on my hand with camera in the right hand. This bold Robin took a fancy to the brazil nuts and decide to get in on the act. An unexpected bonus for me !
The unexpected visitor, D700, 85mm on the 24-85mm at macro setting, 6400iso, 1/640, f/5

Went to White Sands National Monument for a short visit. The kids were having a great time even it was a hot afternoon. My Nikon 1 V1 that I also brought along, however, told me during I was filming with it (for a few minutes): hey, sir, it is so hot, it is impossible to be working. So I put it back into the camera bag in the dark, forever.

00dE6q-556179584.jpg.dc2626d7dcd6cc9437d61e8734c1361f.jpg
