<p>In manual focus mode, push the AE/AF button and the camera will automatically manual focus on what ever you put the square on. You can verify what is in focus by pushing the rotary button switch for a magnified view. The AE part of the AE/AF button is disabled in manual focus so exposure adjustments can still be made after focus is locked. I really should read the manual again.</p>

<p>It does not work with non-fuji adapted lenses, but thanks to focus magnifier in EVL I find fuji the most manual focus friendly camera I've ever used.</p>

<p>My Sony NEX is way easier for manual focus lenses. But the Fuji is not too bad.. Just really bothers me that you have to switch to manual focus mode on the front of the camera. <- is should know there is no AF lens on the front!</p>
