pierre_boucher
Hi to all,
Not long a go, I asked for a price for a Mamiya 645 1000s kit. Thanks to those who replied. A bit later, I went shooting by a river by -27° C. That part of the river was not frozen yet, so it released a lot of fog. The camera worked just fine, no light leak. Few years ago, I shot digital with a Nikon by -23 and the camera stopped working after 15 minutes.
Here's a link to 6 pics from that shooting called "Brume d'hiver" (winter fog). Lens: Mamiya 55/2.8. Film: Rollei PAN 25 developped in Rodinal semi-stand developement.
Happy shooting to all.
Pierre
Montréal, Canada
https://www.flickr.com/photos/kidkodak/?details=1
ondebanks
Some of those are really nice - great light and tone. I like Brume d'hiver-008 and Brume d'hiver-011 best.

You should add your best selection to this month's POTM thread.
hjoseph7
Very nice pictures ! This is a magical camera when it comes to Black and White film. I purchased my 645 1000s used 5 years ago and it's still going strong. I was thinking about moving up to the 645 Pro, or maybe a Hassy, but so far I don't need to as long as the camera still works.

igord
They are fantastic. 55 on 645 equals 35 on 135?
ondebanks

55 on 645 equals 35 on 135?

Yes, Igor. There's a somewhat different aspect ratio (4:3 vs 3:2) but ignoring that, the diagonal angle of a 55mm lens on 645 is the same as a 34mm lens on 135...so just a tiny bit wider than a 35mm lens.
igord
Thanks, this is why I am going to come back to zoom lenses as they are so good now, I can pick up any focus length I wish.
