patricia_saunders
Hello to all from South Georgia US. I love taking pictures and am learning a great deal from more experienced members here at photo.net. I bought an entry level Nikon D3200 and am currently working with older manual lenses to help me understand the camera and the best ways to capture the images I want. I am building my portfolio and taking a lot of free photos for families. I have found that family photography is really not as easy as I had thought.
I look forward to reading here and viewing the photographs others have taken. There are so many here with great talent for the lens. I have attached one of my experimental family photos.
Great to read,
Patricia

William Kahn
Welcome to PNet, Patricia. if your shot here is any indication of your you're skill, I'd say you're definitely on the right track. Keep it up!

By the way, I exhibited in a gallery in Rome a couple of times and really enjoyed the experience...
Mike Gammill
Welcome, Patricia. Family is a great way to build a portfolio and a great way to keep "family photo albums" current.
Rick Helmke
Welcome. It's never as easy as you think. I like your idea of using manual focus lenses, most of mine are older mf Nikkors as well, only a couple of AF. I shoot in manual mode nearly always. Very nice shot there, you're definitley on the right track. Where in S. Georgia?

Rick H.
