So here we are again. An open invitation to share your favorite pic o' the week. Ahow the world that not all Leica and rangefinder equipment is meant for occupying a shelf in a display case. I'll start this week off with a photo from El Segundo Beach in Los Angeles. A pre-storm sky on a beautiful day. GX7 with Summicron 50.

I've been photographing this abandoned farmhouse for several years. On this visit I discovered this roller and tray. It was with mixed emotions that I saw this. On the one hand I wouldn't be able to visit again, but on the other hand the farmhouse will not be razed. This wonderful place, this humble place of light has a new lease on life.

Thank you, Knut. That's a lovely photo of the dancing girl. I love how her right hand seems to be moving as the reflections are echoing.

Barry, so elegant! The cloud detail and tones are wonderful.

Ray, you've captured something that stirs my feelings (nostalgic but phony idealizations).

Some great contributions going this week, Jim thanks for your shout out and back at you. In fact I'm really enjoying all these photos this week so far. Every one is saying something in its own way. I hope people will put more up in the next few days.

Thank you, Charlie. I'm a fan of your photos, as you know. They have a dreamlike, timeless quality to them. The Rolleiflex 2.8C is an incredible camera. Thanks again for putting me on to it. I take it with me everywhere. It's easily one of the best photographic purchases I've made. I like the Rolleinar II. Have you found either of the other two sizes useful?

Jim, Mukul, these are flamenco dancers - local gypsies performing different styles of it, like sevillanas, rumba etc. There are actually three young women involved in this picture.
Robin, this looks very good. Some sparkling incident light, very well controlled DR, great color under mixed lighting, clean high ISO. May I ask if you used a Fuji -let's say X- in JPEG mode?

Cheers,

I have used the Rolleinar 1 to get just that bit closer with people shots. Mostly I use the Rolleinar 2. I don't have the Rolleinar 3 which is very close. My two Rolleinars came in a long leather box with some colour filters and a uv filter too.

Knut, another fine photo. Thanks for elaborating. I think I like the second photo even more than the first.

Richard, thank you for the information on your Rolleinar usage. What you said about the Rolleinar I makes a lot of sense to me. I tried taking a portrait of my son with the Rolleinar II and it was just too close. I'll have to add a two-piece Rolleinar I to my wish list.
