Brad Cloven Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014
I'll kick this one off. While there is some debate about whether the Nikon FE qualifies for the forum, I promise I use it almost exclusively in manual mode. If there isn't action in the shot, I'm using it like an FM. So here goes:

Nikon FE, 50mm F/1.8 AIS, at F/2.8 1/30th of a second hand held, Fuji Velvia 50, Tours, France. No post processing. I remember the f-stop and shutter speed well because this was at dusk and so hard to capture:

Nikon FE, 50mm F/1.8 AIS, Fuji Velvia 50, Chenonceau, France. I introduced vignetting via software to soften the top left which was otherwise blown out:

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rick_drawbridge Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014
No debate about the FE's elegibility so far as I'm concerned, Brad; I really can't see it fitting into the current Nikon forum alongside all the D700's and D810's... That first image of yours is beautifully Impressionist... Anyway, I managed to get through a couple of films, in very patchy spring weather. Here is a pic from a Nikon FE, 50mm Nikkor f/1.8, Kentmere 100, Pyrocat HD.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JDMvW Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014
BTW
Since I've argued recently (without any effect) for a merging of the Classic Film Cameras and the Modern Film Cameras into one forum, I think it makes sense to include all film cameras here, anyhow. So you can keep your FE...., at least as far as I am concerned.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bruce_z._li2 Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014
@Mark: that Kodak Hawkeye Color Surveillance film ISO 400 has a really nice color palette which renders the scene beautifully.
@Brad: Nice soft light on the meadow. Here is my back-lit meadow photo from a Voigtlander Vitessa with Ultron 50/2, Fujicolor Superior 400 film (from archive).

<a title="Summer with Vitessa by Zheng, on Flickr" href=" src="https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3008/2561841412_34c0f93d2d_z.jpg?zz=1" alt="Summer with Vitessa" width="428" height="640" />
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
