jin_strikedomxi
this is absolutely first time this happened to me so got no idea what's going on, i have developed b+w film in the past and nothing ever went wrong, this time film god forsaken me.
film is expired kodak TMAX 100, previous sheets shot a few weeks ago came out fine, but these ones didn't. loaded them as always so I don't think they are pre-exposed before i ever took the shot.
developer is Ilfosol 3, fixer is ilford Rapid fixer. I'm not sure its to do with the chemicals although the clear developer came out in a weird amber kind of color after use. Not going to blame Ilford, not going to blame the equipment, but want to figure out why.
followed all the procedures but nooooooooooooooooo the product is worth less than a potato.
one thing i noticed is that the letters indicating film type didn't even come out, as usually if i screwed up when taking a photo at least the top of the sheet there would still be "kodak TMAX 100".
pretty nasty results and cannot really figure out why this, so if anyone of you ever encountered similar problem, or you identified a stupid mistake that i might have made, please advice.
here are the pics

would really appreciate any suggestion and advice, thanks.
chris_waller
Difficult to say. The fogging suggests some leakage of light on to the film but the clear(ish) areas suggest that the developer didn't cover the film. Do you develop one sheet at a time? Do you dish or tank develop?
James G. Dainis
The sides are grossly overexposed and the middle grossly underexposed but I don't see any image anywhere on there at all. James G. Dainis
craig_shearman1
The fogging looks to me as if one side of the box the film was in (either before or after shooting) got opened, but not enough to hit the whole sheet of film. Or maybe it happened in the developing tank. Can't explain the rest being clear unless is never got exposed. But you should have at least the edge markings, unless you can' see them because they are in the fogged area.
