free bluray burning software for mac

<p>Have a new macbook pro and a bluray burner, would like to try backing up some of my photographs to bluray, can someone suggest a good and simple software to use to burn files to bluray, free if possible, i'm seeing many for pc, not for mac, thanks, virginia</p>

<p>You don't need any extra software. I use blu-ray and you just pop a disc in, highlight the files you want to burn in finder, right click or control click, choose burn to disc. You get a dialog and can start right there. Most software is fairly expensive and is aimed at people burning videos. The free software is buggy or doesn't work with newer OS versions.</p>

<p>thanks, jeff, i'll try that tonight, i was told by someone that you could burn to cd and dvd, but for bluray you needed additional software, so this is good news, thanks, virginia</p>

<p>If you decide in the future to create slideshows or videos in HD, you'll need software such as Roxio Toast Titanium for the Mac. Creating HD videos on BluRay is a bit more complex than burning data files but it's not that difficult to learn the process.</p>
