Didn't I mention that last week? My fault.

My dog, however, gave me the distinct impression that something, somewhere, was Not Right as we headed out the back door for a walk the other day. We came around the corner of the house to find a llama tied up in the neighbor's front yard. Apparently Mr. Dog was able to smell him at quite a distance. Sure, what the heck, let's step back inside and grab the camera, shall we?

Member69643
Chris Speaker - love your Eagle Mountain shot. Every year we go up there we think "maybe this year we'll do Eagle Mtn" but we haven't yet. Carlton Peak is our fav so far.

Andrew Garrard
Very nice, everyone.

It's rare that I post anything, and despite quite a heavy thunder storm I didn't really get a good capture with ideal exposure. (Partly my ebay-special lightning trigger wasn't very good at going off so I did a lot of exposures manually, partly my D800 was having a sensor clean so I was stuck with D700 dynamic range, mostly my incompetence.) But I've been waiting two years after getting a lightning trigger to get any storm at all, and I vaguely like the clouds, so I'm going to post it anyway. The UK got zapped quite a lot last week. Here's hoping it's not so long before my next chance.
