RIP Senator Howard Baker

<p>Senator Baker passed away today at the age of 88.</p>

<p>I thought that he was a great leader and negotiator for the USA, but this post is to remind our members that he was a very enthusiastic and talented photographer throughout his life. You can see great examples of his work at his site:</p>

<p>Howard Baker Jr. was a unique politician, who put principle over ideology. RIP. He apparently favored a Leica for snapshots around the Capitol and elsewhere.</p>

<p>I met then chief-of-staff Howard Baker briefly in 1986. I was attending a photography trade fair at National Geographic on a customer awareness trip. Kodak used to occasionally let engineers out of Rochester to meet real customers. Baker had walked over from the White House to talk shop with the NG photographers and various company reps. </p>
