chris_s.2
Charlie,
Did you get an M-mount conversion done on the Contax G 90mm? How do you like it? Did you do any of the other lenses?
charlie lemay
Chris, I bought the 90 and the 21, already converted on the auction site. Both are stunning performers and both converted by JIEYING-USA. They are a little fussy, but the results are worth it in my opinion. They just have a different look that I really like.

steve deer
I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

chris_s.2
Hi Charlie,
Fussy in what way? I like the rendering of colors by the Contax g lenses that I use my G2 mainly for color work and the M's for B&W. Maybe when the G2 is no longer repairable, I'll do the conversion.
charlie lemay
Chris, The focus ring is small and closest to the body. The rangefinder patch seems to go past minimum focus so you need to move in and out to nail it. Not a problem for me since my subjects aren't usually on the move. It is very well made though and the results are very pleasing. Definitely worth it.
charlie lemay
Here's a shot from the same roll with the 21mm at f4. The depth of field seems shallower with this lens compared to other 21mm lenses I have used, something I really like.

philip_wilson
Charlie - I still use my G series lenses on Contax (I could not bear to have them cut up) and they are all great lenses. The two I like best are the 90 F2 and 21mm F2.8 - the 90 being amazingly sharp with great low contrast resolution.

Here is the Trevi fountains shot with the M240 and old 35 F1.4 Lux. This was ISO 1600 and shows how good the M240 is a high ISO - it gets close to my Canon DSLRs
