Links magically appearing?

<p>It's Intellitext links. Lots of sites use it, not just photo.net. You can disable it via your workspace page so it doesn't appear when you're logged in.</p>

No, that's not what this is. I still see those new links (affiliate links to Amazon and eBay) with that feature long since

disabled on my account.

<p>Hmm, I never see such a thing. Of course, I've got pretty much every "sharing/links" things disabled in so far as possible here on P.net and also in my browser (being somewhat paranoid).</p>

<p>I'm not seeing it now, but I first noticed this on Wednesday when I saw that the word "Nikon" was rendered as an eBay link in the first sentence of my recent Nikon Wednesday starting post. I've never seen that before. When I display that same thread now, that word is no longer rendering as such a link.</p>

<p>I've seen it too. It's not Intellitext. Maybe someone experimenting with the server? I looked at the HTML code of the post and there were no links. The server had linked the word "Canon" when it served the page.</p>
