girishmenon
If I fix a Lensbaby Composer Pro with Edge 80 Optic for Nikon F mount to a Canon EOS body via a Nikon - Canon adapter that has a focus confirmation chip on it, will the focus conformation bit work?
alan_bryant1
My guess would be sometimes, but not dependably. The Lensbaby's tilting and shifting tends to confuse the light meter and might well confuse the AF too.
bobatkins
I'd agree. It should work OK (i.e. as well as it does with any lens) most of the time with the lens set between f2.8 and f 5.6, and probably OK even with the lens tilted as long as you use the center focus point.

I do manual focus all the time on EOS cameras from old EOS filmies* to early APS-C (20D) to 35mm sensor Canons.

*I thought this was a felicitous new term for old film cameras, but a Google™ search reveals that it is already well established, at least referring to the people shooting film. :(
