riz
Hi,
I want to decide between Canon SD700 and SD800 but cannot makeup my mind. Can you please advise which one would you prefer and why? Both are old models but I am looking for a backup camera with Image Stabilization and metalic body.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Regards,
Riz
phule
The SD800 has an equivalent field of view of 28mm-104mm whereas the SD700 has an equivalent field of view of 35mm-140mm. For some, that fact alone would make the decision for them.

I own, and still occasionally use, an SD700. When it was released, the sensor was considered quite good for noise. These days? Honestly, it's not that great. You can buy a zillion cameras with better image quality that have image stabilization. While the build quality is nice, it doesn't help improve your images.
