Lens Swap?

<p>Hello, I was just curious about something. I tried two exact point and shoot models after an exchange of the first, both cameras refurbished. I wanted to know if the internal lens can be switched out with a different one (i.e. same manufacturer but variations of camera models and lenses, or tweak) , or is the specific lens type unique to the camera enclosure? I cant get the idea off that there's something different about the second camera.</p>

<p>You cannot switch lenses among point-n-shoot cameras. Even a thoroughly competent repair tech would find the task daunting and expensive.</p>

<p>that's good to know, another question is why is it that in one of LCD's screen when outside show some lines that reflect off in a variation of colors? it doesn't seem to be a problem with the functionality of the camera but these lines weren't noticeable in the other camera or at least I don't remember seeing them. sort of like an interlaced effect on the lcd screen.</p>

<p>Could be caused by a cheap LCD screen that the camera manufacturer decided to use. </p>

<p>Did you have polarizing sun glasses on when looking at that screen outside? if you did this could very well have been the cause</p>
