Trigger Trap

Recommended Posts

Trigger Trap uses the various sensors on a smart phone to trigger a shutter release. The app is free. Dongles and connecting cables are required and are available at reasonable rates (under $50). Jos van Eekelen posted a brief comment about this technology in January. Has there been any experience with this app?

I've not used Trigger Trap but do use DSLR Remote which is a free Android app.; it triggers the camera via IR, cable, audio or Bluetooth. The simple interface is DIY.

I use the Trigger Trap, though mostly just as a remote release. I've fiddled with some of the other trigger capabilities -- and they're fun and work -- but those features aren't something I have much use of beyond for playing.

Trigger Trap can trigger flashes, too, according to them: https://triggertrap.com/shop/tt-flash/. I haven't tried it.
