shots worth sharing Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013
Here in the Mid-Atlantic, too--especially since I'm nowhere near as hardy as you are, Bob. You'd have laughed to see me bundled up for those early season lacrosse games. This week, I ventured out as far as the porch to play with the birds which are gradually getting more diverse.
I got this one with the Tamron Adaptall 300/2.8 with the matching 2x TC:

These were with the Sigma500/4.5 & the Kenko 1.5x:

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

snik75 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013
I went TO spring, in Florida. Here are a few looks at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, more or less part of Miami.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
snik75 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013
It was actually unseasonably cold, and very windy. Still, lots of sunshine.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
snik75 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013
The hotel was quite beautiful, although not a good value pick. Wish I had a wider lens with me - the 18-135 was good all around, but not quite wide enough to do justice to the interiors.

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MattB.Net Posted April 1, 2013 Share Posted April 1, 2013
I went on a mission to photograph the setting moon one morning before work but it dropped behind clouds before I was ready. So I turned around and this was behind me. I had to make a quick lens swap from 300 to 15.
k-5 & da15

.
I shot photos for a newly reopened bar and music venue to use on social media. The band, Toubab Krewe was really interesting and played some instruments and rhythms from Mali where they lived and studied.
K-5 & Rokinon 8mm FE
<a title="IMGP4347 by MattB.net, on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8106/8602808170_69b99e6461_z.jpg" alt="IMGP4347" width="640" height="424" />
.
This afternoon we walked off Easter brunch by flying kites with a friend.
K-5 & DA 18-135
<a title="IMGP4830 by MattB.net, on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8542/8607952641_d26e3d901f_z.jpg" alt="IMGP4830" width="424" height="640" />
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bob_marz Posted April 1, 2013 Author Share Posted April 1, 2013
Dave those bird images are very nice and yes, I would have liked to see an image of you bundled up at Claire's games.
Matt, sometimes landscape imaging is like that. Especially in your "beautiful" neck of the woods. Not a bad find indeed. Really nice, as all of your images have been.
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

htarragon Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013
Three shots from the museum area (B Franklin Pkwy) on our way to and from the Barnes Museum in Philadelphia. It was cold, windy and snowing/raining, but the Barnes was worth the trip. More paintings per square foot than any other place I've been to and most are masterpieces.

Matt - looking behind you was amazingly well worth it. Stunning.

First:

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

MattB.Net Posted April 3, 2013 Share Posted April 3, 2013
Thanks Howard! The software I write for my day job is what they use for their ticketing system at the Barnes. Hope it worked well for your visit! :)
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
