anirbanbanerjee
I have read that this lens when collapsed can damage the light baffles in the Canon P. Can it be used uncollapsed? Any other issues I should be aware of? Thanks!
mukul_dube
Safe when extended. It is wise to take measures to prevent its being collapsed. When the M5 and CL came out, Leitz advised Dymo tape around the barrels of collapsible lenses which could damage those cameras' meter stalks.
paul_wheatland
Be mindful of collapsible lenses on Bessa/ Cosina cameras which have a double metal shutter as well as certain Canon Cameras with baffles and metal shutters. The "dyno" tape trick is the way to go as Mukul mentions in the above posting.
