Battery for Pentax K1000

<p>I purchased a Pentax K1000 from a camera show and I wasn't sure what type of batteries I need for it. So i searched on google and found out that I need to get the Energizer 357 battery for it. So i purchased some batteries and it seems like these are the wrong batteries for my camera. First of all the battery compartment on the bottom of my camera looks way bigger than what the 357 battery i got for it. Did i get the wrong batteries?</p>

<p>User manual says LR44, which is also G13 ... A357 size.<br>

11.60 mm diameter by 5.40mm thick.<br>

<p>Some battery compartment "lids" have a lip around the inner face that centers the battery in the compartment, even if the compartment diameter is greater than that of the battery.</p>
