dawsonjm
I went out last night, managed to capture a couple of meteors. Amazing how hard it is to actually get a photo of one. I used my K20D with a Kiron 24mm f2.0. 30 second exposures, iso 400 and 800.

martin_z.
Nice, John! I didn't even get my camera out. I sat outside, but didn't see any. I'm too close to the city lights to see stars like you have in your shots.
john_shriver
You can be pretty darned close to the city and see the Perseid shower. But not when it's cloudy and rainy. This year is a "fail" in the Boston area.

todd_phillips3
Nice! I had my K5 set in the back yard for intervals one night for 3 hours of 15 sec exposures and the next night for 3 hours of 30 second exposures and I didn't catch any! I definitely saw some meteors so don't know if I did something wrong.. Shot at 15mm.. Just a bunch of these.. :-)

MattB.Net
Very nice! I got a few early ones the prior weekend but I was in the city last weekend shooting a wedding and couldn't even try.
Todd you should try stacking those images for some trails! I use ImageStacker which has a limited trial version that will only give you a low-res image from 10 source images. But when I tried it that was enough to convince me to pay the very reasonable price of $17 for the full application.

dawsonjm
A question for Todd. What was the iso setting for your photo? It looks really clean compared to my shots with the K20D. Also, what is that really bright thing in the shot? I didn't see any stars that looked like that.
