w/nw: Engaged street portrait

>>> I follow what Brad suggests, presenting a shot of two persons I talked to in view of making their

portrait, but how does it make an "engaged street portrait" ?? Can someone explain, please.?

I think you've got it, Anders. To me it simply means: 1) You see a person on the

street that you find interesting, 2) You walk up to and *engage* the subject, ie, in conversation, and 3) In the course of the conversation you

ask if a portrait can be made. Many times that's followed by moving the subject to a different spot nearby,

where the light and background might be better. There are other variations as well.

Thanks Brad for the explanation. I understood this minimalistic conditions for "engaged" portraits ("engaged in a conversation") , but thought that more could be demanded. Maybe I just mix it up with other languages - French for example !
I love Barry's group picture.
