Benjamin Schaefer - thanks a bunch! You've nailed the timing, something I have to practice with the neat X100.
Jim Trahan - your swamp-shot is fantastic.

Robin, I was a whitewater kayaker for 16 years so there's no getting around it for me-- I am drawn to falls and rapids. I've taken an embarassing number of photos of waterfalls, of course nothing as fine as what you have shared here. :-)

How does one choose between two halves of a couple? This chap, Kuriakose Mamkoottam, and I became M.A. class-mates 42 years ago. He retired as a dean from one university and promptly got a contract job, also as dean of a faculty, with another.

00aTOr-472325584.jpg.97ef87c0422d4f18eeeed5c57c7ea97d.jpg

And this is Kuria's wife Valsala, whom I first met in 1978 some months before their wedding. Their daughter was born the next year and now lives in Washington, DC, where she runs around buying film for me.

Both pictures were taken with a 90mm Elmarit on an M6 at 1/15 sec. I couldn't have managed them without the Staticfix that Robert Hooper sent me.

00aTOv-472327584.jpg.623c5343d019dda834e1d954cc4c80b6.jpg
