bms
Well, Glenn has me beat by far with his great shot, but here is my Venus shot. I was bummed because it was rainy and very cloudy here in the Northeast for most of the day and about 45 min prior to this shot there was heavy rainfall. Just around 7:30 PM it looked like there might be a chance, the clouds broke up. Still when I got to one of the few spots where you can have a view of the Western sky here (without houses, power lines, trees), cloud cover over the horizon was thick. I ws just about to pack it up when there was a little break and I had about a 5 to 10 min window to capture the sun, never in full view, as it descended. This is taken about 10 min prior to sunset. My setup was more make do than Glenn's. It is cropped, obviously...

User_2019667
Great shots this morning. Matt those eyes on that dog would have made me slip him a tidbit I'm sure. They can sure turn it on.
My shot today is of a little chipmunk that sits on our front stoop every day watching whatever chipmunks watch.

jeannean_.
Looks like it's shaping up to be another fine Wednesday! I suppose I was "across the table" from this Reddish Egret this past Friday morning, although there were no forlorn stares at me. It was too busy getting it's breakfast. John Di Leo
And here in New Orleans a late afternoon thunderstorm threatened our sunset view of the transit. Using an old partially fogged Bausch and Lomb reflex f/10 750mm (read it ain't no Questar!) on a d700. Solar filter was off by this time. Beautiful shots already this morning.
