curt_kalkstein1
I did a photo session today with two other photographers, but I can't get their images to open in CS2. Both apparently shot raw (I know one did, I thought the other was shooting JPG, but her images came in at about 20 mb each). I can see the images of one of the photographers in the folder where I dropped them, but I can't even do that with the other person's images (she used a Canon). All her extensions were CR2. When I tried to change the extension to JPG (I made a copy first so I wouldn't inadvertently corrupt it), it didn't do anything.
I've tried to "open" and "open as", but neither works. I don't think I'm doomed because I'm sure I can get the other people to burn disques for me, but do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this?
phule
If the cameras produce RAW files not supported by CS2 (i.e. they are newer than the last Adobe Camera RAW update for CS2) then possible solutions are:

1. Convert them to DNG using Adobe's free RAW to DNG conversion tool or
2. Upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Photoshop or
3. Open them in the software provided by the camera manufacturer or
4. Download and temporarily install Adobe Lightroom.
homer_arment1
If you are using a PC you could just download a copy of Picasa from the good folks at Google and use it to process the raw files.
ed_lusthoff
I would go with Bob. I have CS3 and had to convert to DNG. You can then edit your work the same as RAW then save as JPG.
