georg_s1
Hi, here's a picture from a kick-boxer in training - almost flying...
I didn't want a clean look and decided to use a long exposure-time (1/25sec, f4.0, ISO 1600) with a bit of flash.

ShunCheung
Last week, I mentioned hummingbirds, thought I'd better post one this time.

Nikon D7000 with 200-400mm/f4 AF-S VR @ 400mm, f5.6, 1/800 second and ISO 1600. It was foggy early that morning so that I had to use a higher ISO. On the D7000, ISO 1600 shows some noise, but I managed to use most of the frame. I printed this image to 8.5x11; after a bit of down sampling, it looks great without noise at that medium print size.

bms
Matt, Bill, George S: cool start of the Nikon week!

So even in the "Far Northeast" spring is starting to show.

I had crazy week at work and did not get to play much. So I just camera and the 105VR out for a morning stroll. Sun was just under the horizon, so ISO is cranked up to 3200. 1/250 at f3.5

john_harper9
Enjoyed a train excursion to Williamsburg last Sunday and I took an old 55mm 3.5 macro (converted to AI) along - first time this lens has seen light in decades as it was 'lost' in unpacked boxes through several moves. I'll keep this lens in my bag now. This dependency (out building) has the same plan dimensions as an old foundation in my back yard and gives me some ideas for building a proper garden shed.

jeannean_.
I saw this beast flying this past weekend during the Wings over South Texas air show at the Kingsville Naval base. This is a B-25 Mitchell bomber and was part of the Doolittle Raiders squadron during WW II. During the flight, "bombs" were set off creating a smoke filled sky.
