nicely done macro Larry.....also like Bill's Purple Gallinue, never seen one of those....a cool looking bird.....a beautiful flower shot Robert, maybe a square crop to get rid of that stem?

tried a different take on a full moon shot....just couldn't get an angle that didn't distort the moon though.

00aGIh-457445584.jpg.a4c5c3d366013c1edf134e7e24e21da0.jpg

I wasn't going to post one, but, seeing as there are no other Easter pics... I feel obliged.

I pulled a lens I haven't mounted to a camera in nearly a year (at least) out of the closet after taking the 24-70/2.8 off for the first time in a couple months.. ;-)

Wow! So many great photos. My favs though are Randall's and Martin's.
This week I walked out to "walk" the mother-in-law's dog just before sunrise, and there was a fox hanging out in Suburbia...Not uncommon. She (?) was patient and waited for us to finish and for me to retrieve my camera. I'm hopeful that she's just out and about more for foraging to feed young ones, and not in the early stages of rabies or something. Animal Control says no foam about the mouth then they are not coming until after breeding season. Great. That means it'll look like I'm fishing for the fox while we are dog sitting.

00aGN1-457503584.JPG.b53a2a3b80d7053c571137830112c556.JPG

By the river near Powell, Wyoming is a popular dog walking trail. Someone had placed a stuffed duck in the tree and a couple of days later a pink elephant was added. Over the weeks various dog walkers have added to the menagerie in the tree. Alas, I had no animal of my own to add.

00aGOB-457531584.jpg.7261d02145bcb955450741724555a7e3.jpg

Thom, Thanks! BTW, I like the distortion on the full moon better than a straight reflection.
I haven't really done much true macro work. I've been wanting to get shots of Diamorpha for years. I spent two hours on the same cluster of flowers. Thank you Ranger Amy for your patience!

Was up to Jerome last week, and as usual I took some pictures in this old mining town. Here is a shot from the hills of the town looking north. This was the 5th largest city in Arizona when the copper, gold and silver was being mined. circa 1890

00aGQr-457577584.jpg.e1bcb998e7d4b9bdb42844f150f20961.jpg

I was rummaging around the other day and found the first lens I ever bought - a Quantarary 55-200 4-4.6. I popped it on a 7D and started taking some shots. Since I couldn't get out today, I took a picture of my cat's scratching post. The sharpness isn't bad but the autofocus was pretty horrendous on that lens so I went manual. Anyway, I really like the texture and the light & shadow on this shot.

00aGST-457607584.jpg.8cb63a25a64cdf93f40b67919e6c0ff9.jpg
