thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the first 5D MarkIII available in Canberra, Australia Capital, last Thursday.
It couldn't be better timing as I had a fashion shoot planned for the saturday.
Although I wanted to shoot with this new Canon 5D Mark III, I did the shoot with my Hasselblad H4D40.
Here is one shot with the 5D3, converted into jpeg with DPP and then edited with CS6 beta.

Check out the set of BTS images here (mainly shot in Av and auto ISO mode): http://nomadphotography.com.au/blog/2012/03/behind-the-scenes-with-the-canon-5d-mark-iii/

charcoal_happy
Not that the picture is bad, but what's so special about it? One could take the same picture with a 5dmkii or even with a crop camera.

It's not the camera that makes this picture, it's the backdrop, the lighting, the make up and the models. Deep dof, low dynamic range, plenty of light, still subject... none of the 5dmkiii's new features come into play.
KenPapai
Maybe the image Thierry posted is ISO 12800.... ? If so, wow!
Other than that, what "charcoal" said.
dan_south
The flesh tones look a bit cool. Is that Auto WB?
PuppyDigs
The OP is excited to have acquired the latest and greatest toy/tool and needs to shout out from the rooftop of photo.net. Afterall, such an announcement at home or church is likely to be befuddling or boring. So here he was hoping for a sympathic audience.... Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
peter_j2
What's the EXIF data? I can replicate this shot with my EOS 1Ds II and EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM. What's the big deal?

keith reeder
Tough crowd?

Not really - but at the end of the day this is "just" a picture, with nothing stand-out about it: no exif, no shooting details, nothing 5D Mk III-specific to discuss about it, and as others say, if this thread is about the 5D Mk III, what makes this picture special in the context of that discussion?

Personally I need a lot more than an OK picture of two pretty girls in a controlled setting before I get excited about the camera that took it.
markonestudios
Guys, guys, take a chill pill :)

If you click forward from the page the OP has linked to, you will see some of the BTS shots with their EXIF data displayed.
Here:
http://nomadphotography.com.au/blog/2012/03/canon-5d-mark-iii-update/
thierry nguyen cuu - nomad
For sure it was a quick excited post at around 2AM here in Australia...
Also on the blog I put some shots in Av, AWB and auto ISO...
Well, it seems that leaving the camera doing its thing still give better results than the 5D Mark II with same settings..
I'll be shooting a wedding tomorrow so will be putting it to the test in a real shooting assignment..
After all, it's just a camera right? But it is so much fun to play with new toys when it become available.

Bless all.
One more at ISO 4000:
http://nomadphotography.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/ISO4000-1.png
