Ian Rance
I will go so far as to say that this Wednesday's photos are some of the best yet. I changed my mind about what I was going to enter after I remembered this cat I saw on Sunday. He really was like a big cat in Africa - stalking and blending with the shadows.

chriscourt
Lovely shots everyone. I especially enjoyed Shun's service, Garcia's portrait, John Farrar's Oystercatchers and Doug Santo's exquisite hummingbird.
I've spent most of the last week dosed up to the eyeballs on flu medication and sleeping, so not much photography has been happening. I did take the chance to take a look at my scary "unsorted photos" folder - currently containing around 15,000 shots - and found the following…

vince-p
Ok a smidgen late but... I forgot what day it was. First some comments: Ann Overland: fantastic. Note how the flash in the water creates a pattern nearly identical to the scale structures on the skin of a brown trout.... which is really interesting as well as beautiful. Mikhail -- beautiful colors. I suppose homeland security got there to arrest you in short order? John Farrar -- that's amazing and moving. the line of the birds is close to perfection. I too use the 28-105 on a D700: an underrated lens. So your pic was particularly gratifying to me. (It's actually one of my favorite photos I've seen on the site.) Finally, Garcia: take it from an older guy -- that's not exactly disapproval. I should be disapproved of that way. Great picture. You will treasure it and so will she.

So here's mine. I take a lot of pictures while I'm driving. Dangerous, but I enjoy it. this is the Throg's Neck Bridge over the LI Sound in NYC, connecting the noble boroughs of Bronx and Queens.

dj88
Day late, and several weeks/months behind the curve but here's an actual picture I took on wednesday. Playing with my newest of my three Heligon lenses. This one (Heligon-TV 64mm f/0.95) I attached the body or a ruined 50mm Series E f/1.8 AI-S via lens reversing ring attached to the Heligon.
