Happy Wednesday and New Year! Weather has been crazy here in Maine. Went for a walk on Monday and the Penobscot river was almost frozen over in the city. This morning there is rain and most snow melted away. Single digits (øF) expected on the weekend.... what gives?

00Zn4j-428231584.jpg.b9e5ce6086a7fb509e000df199452aa4.jpg

Happy New Year to all. Wonderful shots again this morning. Matt how bad was that poor dog drooling?? My shot goes back to Thanksgiving time when we were in Arizona. I call the photo "A Room With A View". A cemetery just outside of the copper mining town of Miami, Arizona.

00Zn4o-428233584.jpg.621498822b493b5ccf507deb74aa3d7c.jpg

This one is of snow and trees from my back door here in Candiac Quebec, I used a plugin called pixelbender which comes free with Photoshop CS5. Option oil paint was chosen.
Lots of great shots so far; the dog images have brought a smile. Frank - how is that fish-eye lens? Happy New Year!

00Zn54-428241584.jpg.3220cb735e73d2d7f1dba898f8838132.jpg

Hello fellow Nikon-fanatics,
A big thanks to Matt for his weekly inspiration and challenges. And to everyone for sharing images and comments.
Here's a recent shot of a full moon rising over a marina in Palm Beach, FL.
The best to everyone for a healthy and prosperous 2012. Keep the great shots coming.

00Zn5F-428247584.jpg.7287f2ee087093baeab977f840cf41cc.jpg

Happy Nikon-Wednesday all!
Great shots so far - I like especially Ilkka Nissilas beautiful portrait and Tom Serios outstanding moonrise.
I still have trouble with my monitor-calibration and feel a bit color-blind.
Here's a shot from today - a broom (? - genista) that usually flowers from april to july.
A good year 2012, Georg.

00Zn5j-428267584.jpg.daff80e7f5707806d4707d3ef7b2648d.jpg
