doga_d
Just recently received the FG I bought on Ebay. However, seems like there is problem with its mirror, at least I thought it's a problem but just wanted to be sure before blaming the seller.
When I set the shutter speed to any speed or A and P modes except for M90 and B, and depress the shutter button mirror flips up but don't go down to finish the process, it just sticks there and stays in that position but if I turns the shutter speed knob to Bulb or M90 mode it gets released.
It's obvious that there is a problem but couldn't figure out what's wrong.
doga_d
Well, just figured out that there is no battery in the camera, which also justifies the B and M90 modes :)
steve m smith
That's it. It needs the battery for everything except B and 90.

Also, when you get a battery and you're trying it out without a film, you need to wind the film counter to at least 1 to get the meter to work.
crow0806
My FG did that and it wasn't the battery. I never did figure out why it did that. It took nice photos when the camera worked, which wasn't often. I junked it and bought a wonderful N80.
