paulie_smith1
I don't see a super high frame rate for the 1Dx which would allow slow motion videos.
Very handy for wildlife and sports and analysis of movement.
Is it there and I have just missed it? I am borrowing a friends $600 Sony and using it for this purpose but would rather have all in one package to use my canon lenses.
craig_meddaugh
They haven't finalized the feature set on the 1DX so it may provide something more than 60fps, but I doubt it. In any case, the 1DX will be pretty miserable for shooting sports/wildlife due to the rather slow auto-focus. You'll be much better off with a proper video camera.
jamie_robertson2
Videoing wildlife and sports using a DSLR will be a challenge to say the least. You'll never be able to maintain focus unless you're 3 feet away with an ultra wide angle lens. I also think 60fps will be the limit, even taking future firmware updates into account.
