jimadams
This is something I don't understand.

Say I post a photograph and request a critique. And say I want the viewer to compare that photograph to another of mine...a photograph of the same scene or subject made a year ago, in order for the viewer to note the difference in exposure, aperture, or other technical stuff...and maybe comment on those differences. Why can't I put a direct link to the older photo in the critique request?

This would be so much easier than saying something like, "Go to such-and-such folder and look at photograph so-and-so."

This isn't something I'd be doing for self-promotional purposes or to pump up photo views. And since I don't post for ratings any more, it wouldn't be to get more ratings.

So why can't I do this?
joshroot
Too many people were using it for spam or SEO business promotion.

My suggestion for your situation would be to make a comment on your own image and place the link there.
