How to put together a slideshow?

<p>How can I put together a slideshow for someone to view via email? <br>

If I could add music that would be great. If I can't, no biggie. Anything I should be aware of when creating a slideshow?<br>

<p>There are a number of software packages that can be downloaded and used to create slideshows. If you google "slideshow software reviews" you will get some good sites, including this one which compares a number of the packages:<br>

<p>There are also some free software alternatives - I haven't used any of those so don't know how well they might work. The slide shows are quite large and that might be a challenge to email - I have some that are 200MB+ with music, so I'm not sure how you were thinking about attaching them.</p>

<p>Another free alternative is to use Picasa, setup a web page with the photos you want, and email that link. No music with that approach, but the viewer can use the Picasa tools to run the photos as a show.</p>

<p>I was only going to mail about 30 web sized (under 200 KB each) images. I would imagine that would be small enough even made into a slideshow with music to email, right?</p>

30 photos downsized with some music will likely be quite manageable for an email attachment. I am guessing here

but thats likely 10mb or less if you have one piece of music with it, based on extrapolating from some of the shows I

have done.

<p>Lightroom makes a nice slideshow and you can add music.</p>

That is true Simon - I forgot about Lightroom. That would work as well.
