mwtphoto
I posted a photo today on Photo.net and then went to facebook to see it there. However, the photo did not appear on facebook. So I removed the Photo.net sharing app on facebook and then went to reinstall it. I got an error message stating that the app does not support secure browsing - i.e. facebook is now https and not http, anyone else have this problem?
This may also explain why the publish to facebook feature in lightroom stopped working last night.
Thanks facebook.

mwtphoto
Hi Richard that surely still works, but having a link on facebook will take viewers back to the photo.net site and perhaps some of my facebook friends will check out what is happening on photo.net.
Either way it isn't the end of the world.
Cheers
jsc
Mark, I just tested and it works for me. Looking at the records, I do not see your account registered as a user of the Facebook app currently. I removed the sharing app on Facebook and re-added it just fine. Can you tell me where you saw that error message regarding secure browsing? If possible, could you take a screenshot and send it to me? Thanks for any information you might be able to provide to track down the problem.
mwtphoto
I am not registered because I tried to reload it to correct the problem. Upon trying to re register is when I got the message that the app doesn't support a secure connection

mwtphoto
if I change my connection on facebook to HTTP the app works. So the app can not work on a secure connection with facebook.
jsc
Thanks for letting us know. Yes, currently we only use SSL when you go to pay for a subscription. Because of the way things are set up, it is not possible to enable SSL throughout the site, although I will look into enabling that in the future. I was not aware that Facebook tries to use https if you are using https on their site.
