rwbowman
I just purchased a lovely Canon A1 camera with the A2 winder. (It does make a nice combination.) Just a question about the winder, though: if the camera is OFF, but the winder is ON (C or S), is any battery power getting drained?
I'm glad all my cameras are black.
"Is that a new camera?"
"Oh, no it's 30 years old." Or, "No, I've had it for a while."
leicaglow
Congratulations on your new system, Robert. Canon was very forward thinking, and they never made systems with many kinks in it. I don't believe the winder had an auto-off function, but I used to leave mine on by mistake all the time, and it never drained anything.
rwbowman
Thanks, Michael. I'm slowly replacing the FD gear I sold when I switched to the EOS system. The A1 will join my New F1 and T90. Now I need (!) an F1n....
awahlster
The winder only uses power when it's winding no other time.
