Darkroom rental and classes in San Jose (Bay area) ?

I'm looking to rent a darkroom in San Jose or the bay area (I know

there are plenty in SF and east bay but I'm looking for one close to

home ...) ... Do you know any in this area ? Do you know if any of

them provide classes ??

Hi Fred,

 

The labs in the S.J. area are few and far between. Last I heard,

the city of Santa Clara had a darkroom in central park (across the

street from Kaiser hospital on Keily Blvd). I do not know if they

have classes. Also, you can take a photo class at DeAnza

(cupertino) or Foothill college (Los Altos). I travel up to Hayward

to get my printing done. Good luck!

San Jose city college has a decent b/w darkroom setup with classes on most evenings and Saturday during the day. I am not aware of any rental darkrooms in the south bay, I ended up bighting the bullet and buyig my own darkroom setup in order to avoid all the rifraff at the community college darkroom.
